New Scholarship in Memory of Carson Vincent

A new scholarship in memory of Carson Vincent has been established at the Shiawassee Community Foundation. Beginning with the 2019-20 school year, the Carson James Vincent Memorial Fund will be available to Ovid-Elsie High School seniors planning to attend college or trade school. Students must have participated in high school athletics and have a letter of recommendation from an Ovid-Elsie coach.

Carson graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School in 2018, where he was active in football, track and field, and basketball. He held several records at the school, including field goal percentage and scoring over 1,000 points. He was the second-highest scoring player in Ovid-Elsie’s basketball history.

Carson was attending Mid Michigan College in Mt. Pleasant, where he was on the basketball team. He loved spending time with family and friends, and he had a gift for making everyone laugh. Carson passed away on Sep. 16, 2018 at the age of 17. His family is excited to have this scholarship in place and to see Carson’s memory live on.
