Meet the Nonprofits and Their 2025 Goals:
- Angel’s Hands Outreach – Donations will help restock inventory, cover overhead costs, and provide essential items for those experiencing homelessness, including tents, sleeping bags, and hand warmers. Your gift helps more families access stable housing and utilities support.
- The Clothesline/Connection – Celebrating 20 years of service, funds raised will allow The Clothesline to make much-needed interior updates, including lighting, flooring, and drywall repairs. They continue to provide high-quality, low-priced clothing and free items to referred families.
- Eventz 4 Change – Your contribution empowers youth and adults to achieve success in business and life through training, tools, and support for entrepreneurial growth.
- Friends of Pat’s Place – Shiawassee County’s only specialized adult day program for individuals living with memory loss and dementia. Donations provide families with peace of mind, dignity, and essential support.
- Giving Paws – Support programs such as Paws on the Ground, Pet Partner Temporary Pet Fostering, and Tales with Tails at local libraries, spreading the joy of therapy dogs throughout our community.
- Great Start – Investing in the future of Shiawassee County’s preschoolers. Donations provide scholarships for children in need, ensuring every child gets a strong start in life.
- Lebowsky Center for Performing Arts – Your gifts help sustain arts and culture programs that enrich our community.
- Respite Volunteers – Donations support families who need temporary care for loved ones, giving caregivers much-needed time and relief.
- SafeCenter – Funds provide essential support and basic needs for victims and survivors of domestic violence, helping keep their doors open for families in crisis.
- Shiawassee Arts Council – Raising money for the Creative ARC Program, which offers meaningful art classes to developmentally disabled young adults in partnership with the ARC of Mid-Michigan.
- Shiawassee Community Foundation – Donations support the Community Cares Fund, providing grants to local pantries for food assistance. Every dollar is matched up to $2,500, doubling your impact.
- Shiawassee Council on Aging – Supporting programs that assist older adults in living safely and independently in our community.
- Shiawassee Family YMCA – Your gift helps more youth experience Camp Shiawassee in the summer. Just $185 sends one child to camp for a week!
- Shiawassee Goodfellows – Ensuring every child in our county has a warm coat during the winter months.
- Voices for Children – Donations provide a healing space for child abuse victims and community education to prevent abuse and human trafficking, keeping children safe.
